Telephone/IT Technician

Job Responsibilities:

The role is responsible to install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and upgrade telecommunications, wireless Internet networks equipment; Must know cabling, 66 blocks and cable terminations. Complete requests for new service, system updates, upgrades, troubleshooting.

Skills and Qualifications:

Design, installs, and maintains voice, video, wireless, CCTV, and data systems and networks. This will include telephone systems like Mitel, Avaya, NEC, wireless internet networks, and security equipment.

Knowledge of call recording, call routing - basic call center functions.
Basic Knowledge of Networks/IP addresses.
On-call availability per schedule and solid technical telecom knowledge and ability to solve inquiries over the phone.
NEC PBX knowledge a must.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Minimum four or more years’ field experience as a technician in a telecommunications environment.

Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Self-motivated with excellent customer-relations skills.
Team player willing to mentor and assist other technicians.
Detail and process oriented.
Solid organizational and follow-up skills.
Ability to follow directions.
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
